• Partner with Aird & Berlis LLP in Toronto 
• Certified Specialist by the Law Society of Ontario in “Municipal Law: Local Government & Land Use Planning and Development”   
• Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School in both the J.D. and LL.M. programs
• Co-author of five published books, including the Ontario Municipal Act & Commentary and the Annotated Municipal Act
• Editor-in-Chief of the Municipal & Planning Law Reports, the Real Property Reports and the Digest of Municipal & Planning Law for over 30 years
• Recipient of the Ontario Bar Association’s “Award of Excellence in Municipal Law” in 2023 and the “Canadian Municipal Lawyer Award” in 2022 from the International Municipal Lawyers Association 
• Leads all of his firm’s municipal accountability mandates as Integrity Commissioner, Closed Meeting Investigator, Municipal Ombudsman and Lobbyist Registrar
