The Ontario Small Urban Municipalities (OSUM) is the small urban municipal voice of the Province. OSUM is an integral part of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario and has a number of its Board members which serve on the AMO Board of Directors.

Policy and research activities are undertaken by OSUM through the staff at AMO.

OSUM has ensured that matters which affect small urban communities are brought to the attention of the provincial and federal governments. Leadership is provided by the Chair and Executive Committee who are elected annually. 

 


OSUM Executive Meeting

February 4, 2023- County of Brant

The OSUM Executive met on February 4 to discuss OSUM business, prepare for the 2023 Conference and the 2023 elections. The Committee appointed Hilda MacDonald, the Mayor of Leamington, as Chair of OSUM and Bob Kwapis, Councillor of the Town of Newmarket, was appointed Vice-Chair. Under Hilda and Bob's guidance the Committee will continue to work hard for small urban municipalities. 

The Executive looks forward to welcoming delegates to its 2023 Conference, Springtime in Paris, April 26 - 28, 2023.
